I’m sorry to go against the grain, but unlike the other reviewers I really did not like this case. I bought a new 6th gen Ipod Classic and needed a cover. I needed something that would keep it safe while I worked out, jogged, and did some gardening. while this Belkin case did fit the Ipod, it felt flimsy to me, and seemed like it would readily shatter if accidentally dropped. The Ipod classic is much more fragile than any of the others due to it’s internal hard drive. And I am known for being somewhat accident prone. I chose to pay more and go for a Tough Skin silicone style case with a lanyard and arm band. I’m glad I did.

Awesome, sturdy, solid cover for my new ipod 120gb 7G classic. Worth the money and still better then buying from apple store or anywhere else

This case is perfect for the newest generation (7G, 120 gig) of iPod classic. The iPod fits into the case snug and does not move around at all. The default dock connector fits with the case on, although I haven’t tried docking the iPod to a sound dock with it on. The opening for the headphone jack is large enough to provide access for various sizes of headphone or auxiliary input connections. The additional protection for the click wheel is a nice touch and does not hinder operation in any way. The brushed metal front is really nice-looking. The case even seems like it might be sturdy enough to stay together if it’s dropped, although I am not going to put that aspect of it to the test intentionally with my hard-drive-based iPod.
This is absolutely the first case I would recommend to someone looking to buy one for the newest available iPod classic. It definitely serves its primary purpose (protecting your iPod) and looks great, too.

bought mine from J&R for less than $7 and it arrived 4 days later in perfect condition and works flawless with the 120 gig model!
